How to Add Adsense to a Website or Blog

Start making money with Google Adsense. Here are step by step directions on how to add adsense to a website.
Step
1First make sure you are allowed to add adsense to a website or blog you are working on. You can add Adsense to many sites but some sites such as the free version of WordPress do not allow adsense.

2Apply for a Google Adsense account. You will need to provide the URL of your website. Make sure your site has content on it before you apply.

3Once you are approved by Google to add adsense to a website or blog, log into your Google Adsense account.

4Click the tab at the top that says "Adsense SetUp". When the new window opens, click on "Adsense for Content".

5Select the type of Google ad you want. You can pick a google link or ad unit. After you have made your selection click continue.

6Click on the drop down box next to format and select the size and style of google adsence ad you want.

7Next choose your colors for the ad, then click continue at the bottom of the page. When the new window opens you can put in the name of the channel you will be using the adsense at or skip this step. Click continue.

8In the new window, type in a name for your google adsence ad. Click submit to get the code. Right click your mouse to select all. Right click again and select copy. You can now paste the code in a word document to save it or use it to add adsense to a website or blog immediately.

Step
9Paste the adsense code in the html section of your blog or website. The ad areas should start populating within a few minutes.
